Man crazy week.
Let me start off with a quick story that happened last night. So I recived a package in the mail this past week, and in it was a 12 days of christmas thing (a little story and a treat for each night) that we could do for one of our investigators or someone. So, we decided to do it to our next door neighbors, because I noticed that they had little kids. We did the first one, we left it on their porch, knocked and quickly hopped back into our apartment. Thought everything went fine, right? We checked back later and the little gift was gone. So we do it again the next day, again, dropping it off, knocking and getting away. Well, about 20 minutes after that, the lady next door comes over and is FURIOUS. She is screaming at us, telling us we are harassing her, and then she swore at us a bunch and ripped the stories up in front of us, threw them on the grown and stormed away. What the heck? 20 minutes after that, we've got another knock on our door. It's the police. She called them 7 or 8 times to come arrest the 4 of us that live in our apartment for harassment. We were able to convice the police officer that it was all a misunderstanding, that we were just trying to be neighborly and do a nice christmas gesture! She told the police that she feels threatened by us, and she actually had her brothers there, ready to come kill us. (I'm not joking when I say that... apparently they settle things differently in the DR, where she's from) So, it all ended well. Nobody was arrested, no charges or tickets. But not the most fun experience in the world! So much for trying to be in the Christmas spirit. Some people.

Well, now that we've gotten the frustrating story out of the way, let me fill you in on my week!
This week has been SO COLD. The humid cold here is just unreal, there's absolutely nothing that you can do to protect yourself from it. It also snowed about 10" two nights ago. So we've been bundled up pretty warm for doing all of our walking around!
This is before the 10" of snow, afterwards it was nothing but white!
One of my favorite parts about every other week is when we visit a sister in our ward, her name is Sé Imene. She feeds us every other Friday night, and she is SUCH A GOOD COOK. Seriously though, so much good haitian food. But on the way back from those appointments we stop at this Haitian barber shop called "Mr. G's Classic Cuts" and talk to our homies "ti bos", "touf" and the rest of the crew. They basically just get way stoked whenever we visit them, and we talk to them for a good little bit. But this past time, they gave us all nicknames, I can't remember Elder Coulson's or Bourdeau's but mine was "Kot Banjo" which means "banjo rib" and Elder Giordano's was "Neg Barak" which basically just means big guy. I love those crazy guys though, they're awesome! Haha.
Elder Bourdeau- As you can tell, he is really happy and I'm really upset.
So this past week, we had some incredible lessons with our investigators. We had a great English lesson with Smit Kenner, and we finally saw Jean Senat again after a few weeks. The lessons this week weren't too high in amount, but as far as quality goes... they were off the charts.
I want to talk a bit about our investigator, Johnny. He's been having a lot of questions that we haven't been able to answer lately, so we just talked about revelation through prayer with him. It was an INCREDIBLE lesson. So we rescheduled his baptism date to January 12th, and then he showed up to church yesterday, I think he really enjoyed it. He got a little bored during priesthood, but the regular teacher also wasn't there due to the 10" of snow we got.
Elder Coulson and I - I love this kid!!
That's about it for this week, crazy crazy week. And other than the fiasco last night, everything was awesome!
Pase yon bon semen, nap pale semen pwochen.
Elder Halling
