Where the party at?

Wòch nan dlo pa konnen doulè wòch nan soley.

You know what they say, nothing like having a week with a sick companion followed up by a big Haitian party. Actually nobody says that, just me. So if you want to start saying that, feel free.

But really though Elder Jeske got really sick all of a sudden. Really intense stomach pain, not like upset, but just hurting. So we told him to take it easy, and go sleep. He couldn't sleep because the pain was so bad. So after 2 days of being down and out we finally decided to call the mission doctor, she told him to head into the urgent care.

Turns out he has something called peptic ulcers. It's caused by having too much acid in your stomach, and the acid eats through the lining on your stomach and then irritates the tissue. And then the lining can't regenerate fast enough so the acid just sits on it. Quite painful from what it seems. He's on some heavy duty antacids and stuff like that. Keep him in your prayers.

Elder Coulson, Elder Lee, Elder Hodapp, and Elder Welker all finished their missions this week. It was crazy seeing them all get up in front of the mission at transfer meeting at give their final testimonies. That thought is haunting me "that's you next time there, sport" OH SHOOT. GUYS WHAT THE?? Tomorrow is my 23 month mark. Who'd of thought I'd ever make it this far? Wow.

At the end of the week, we had a barbecue with the Haitian group. They all invited their friends, we had ribs, chicken, burgers, hot dogs. You name it. And guess what? I was the designated grill man again. I guess that's just my calling in life. Run the grill for the Haitians. hahaha. The party was a complete success though, we had about 50 people there, and a great handful of them were non-members.
Frantzy....he is the best!

We finally had a great lesson with Taina again. She's all back on track, we brought up baptism, she's really interested. Georges came to church, along with Jean. Barbara still isn't doing so hot. We thought she was good to go, she's just not doing anything. Guess that's life though.

The work never stops!!
