So this week was big, but I feel like big weeks are just an average here now. It's awesome! We're getting so much work done, and seeing so many miracles.
We started training the new companionships that will be added onto the digital mission this month, we added in 3 new companionships and trained an existing one. This week, our traveling adventures included Nashua, New Hampshire, Lynnfield, Massachusetts, and Lowell, Massachusetts. It was fantastic! I can't wait to see all of the fruit of these missionary's labors. The digital mission is going places.
Now, I can't remember if I talked about it a bit ago. I think I did, but there is a Sister here who was nearly disowned from her family for joining the Church. But she stuck to it, and obviously has a powerful testimony. She started teaching members of her family through the digital mission a few weeks ago, and saw a big change in her little sister and her mother. This week, she was able to extend a baptismal date for her own mother and sister, and she doesn't think that her older sister and grandparents will be too far behind. How amazing is that? Miracles like crazy. Can you imagine inviting your own family to make the best decision they could ever make in their entire lives, and have them say yes? That just blows my mind.
Wednesday, we had MLC (Mission Leadership Council) where all of the Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders get together to discuss training and set goals together for the mission. As you can probably expect, when you pack ~40 missionaries with incredibly solid testimonies in a room, magic happens. The spirit gets packed in so strong and it nearly feels like the whole meeting is just directed by the craving for Zion that everyone has. It's amazing. We talked a bit about what we're doing as leaders to inspire our zones, and we got a bunch of great ideas for our digital zone from the meeting. It was awesome.
Thursday, we had a Zone Conference. The name of the game was basically, what do we need to do to ensure that our investigators are having a converting experience during our teaching appointments. We went over so much solid information and skills. We talked about asking inspired questions, guiding people to "self-discover" the gospel for themselves, body language, preparation, everything. It was a very spiritual zone conference. At the end, it was opened up into a Q&A panel and the missionaries could ask whatever they wanted to. One of the questions that really got me thinking, was a missionary asked about those who had been fully faithful in the gospel, had made temple covenants, and were fully active at a point, but then decided to leave the church for one reason or another. It really opened my eyes to how important the work is that we're doing here. This life really is the time for men to prepare to meet God, if what we're doing isn't helping others become closer to Christ and make changes, what's the point of knowing the truth? Powerful.
In other news, that's no so spiritual. We moved into our new apartment! It's great! We love it. Just waiting on some Elders to drop by furniture and stuff, we're just sleeping on a mattress on the floor, and there's no chairs or tables. But otherwise, it's perfect!
I think that's about it! This week we'll be going to the Cape Cod area, Newport RI, and actually out to the island, Martha's Vineyard to visit a bunch of missionaries and do some training! Should be a great week.
