Miracles!!

Hey everyone! This week was transfers, both Elder Hodapp and I are staying put. The only change that affects us at all is that our Zone Leader (Elder Orgill) is finishing up and going home, which actually happens to be Riverton, UT! Good stuff!

So Melchizedek is still pumping along in his spiritual progression, he is doing great! We taught him about the 10 commandments and tithing/fasting. He loved it! And he had no issues or questions when when we asked him if he'd live it!!

We met up with one of the 8 year olds here in the ward, he is Haitian. He is ready for baptism and the bishop has asked that we get him ready for the interview and the program and everything. I'll attach a picture of him! He's a sweet kid, his name is Noah.
Noah is the one in the white shirt next to Elder Hodapp.

So here's the miracle of the week. Well, and a funny story at that!

So we went and visited a less active and we pulled up on the GPS who is nearby, the GPS says that there is a Haitian member that lives like 6 houses down. We're like, heck ya! So we go pass by, this SUPER nice Haitian grandma lets us in, her name matches the one in the GPS but she has no idea who we are. Says she's not a member. She leaves the room for like 2.5 seconds, and 1 by 1, teenage girls start coming out of this bedroom. Literally 30 seconds later my comp and I are completely surrounded by like 10 teenage girls with "the look" so we're like "oh, shoot! Get outta here!" But we set up an appointment with them and taught them, they're now investigators and they're super stoked. So here's the miracle, I'm like so where did that name come from in the GPS? I've searched EVERYTHING in our apartment, I can't find that name or that address anywhere. So I have no idea how it got into the GPS, but it got us 2 investigators and like 10 potential investigators. The lord takes care of us!!

Really everything this week was a miracle.

We found a Haitian less active that we've been looking for for a while, she explained that she's actually been trying to come back to church and she wants us to help her out!!... Okay!! Her mom was also like "Will you guys come teach me again? My daughter tells me things in the church have changed, like it's not the same anymore. I think i'll like it. " We were like... well, nothing has dramatically changed... but we're not gonna say anything!! Of course we'll come teach you again!! :)

Sunday, we had 4 investigators show up. Including one of our 3 new ones for the week, his name is Jeff. Jeff is a good guy, he's just trying to find the truth. He takes notes on notes on notes in the front few pages of his Book of Mormon that we gave him. You should see them, they're unreal! But he absolutely loves church, this is his 2nd time going and it's just great.

Sunday evening, we were invited over to a members house. Now these members were in the process of inviting their neighbor to hear the gospel. The neighbor came to church to see their baby blessed and really enjoyed it. So we were headed over there with the intentions of being like "You guys rule!!! How can we help out, we just want to be the coaches from the sidelines. We don't need to get involved yet this is all you!" But guess what? We show up, and they had already invited her over for dinner, with the intention of her hearing a missionary lesson! So we taught her, we just talked and talked and talked. Her name is Barbra. And it was unreal. 99.9% of her viewpoints on religion match up with those found in the LDS church. She thought she was dreaming, she's really excited and we have an appointment with her this upcoming sunday.

I think that's the main stuff that happened. Still crazy busy, loving it!

Anyways, have a great week!! Church is true!!
Sometimes you contact into a....toilet?
