Crazy busy week!!

Sak ap fet tout moun??

Well this week was absolutely insane. But still, flooded with miracles again. Exciting stuff. Let's jump in!

We taught over 20 lessons this week, which I think may be the high for my mission! We saw everyone that we needed to, and Melchizedek is still doing great, and Noah is ready to be baptized next Sunday.

Melchizedek accepted to live the Law of Tithing, Law of Chastity, and to keep the Word of Wisdom. He came to church again, had a great time and is still planning on the baptism on the 6th of July!!

Now here's the miracle for this week! Jeff is still coming to church, he's just ready to make changes in his life! We committed him to stop smoking cigarettes, and we had a stop smoking program for him but we forgot the papers. So we asked him to just hand over his lighter, throw away the cigarettes and the ash tray and just go for it. We weren't expecting too much, but this is crazy.... He hasn't smoked for 6 days straight now... cold turkey! Who can do that? Nobody that i've ever heard of. But he's so stoked about church. There was a lesson on baptism yesterday in the gospel principles class, and he came up to us yesterday and was like "You know, I have been thinking. I'm gonna get baptized whenever you guys are ready to accept me." We're like.... UHHH YES!!!! So we just weren't sure if we could invite him yet, but we got everything sorted out and we're going to talk baptism with him tomorrow. Pray for us and Jeff!! :)

Other than that, we taught a BUNCH of member lessons. Started building up a lot of trust here in the ward, stopped by a lot of less actives (who actually came to church!!) and everything just went super well.

It's been hard to focus this week though, any house we go into here in Brockton has the World Cup on. EVERYONE here is SO huge into it. It's been pretty fun talking to everyone about it, we can't really watch the games but we can use the sport as a reason to talk to people. Everyone loves soccer here! Go Brazil.

But yeah, both Jeff and Melchizedek are doing super well. We also visited Denise and Billy again, they were happy to see us. We haven't been able to stop by for the last like 3 weeks. But hopefully next time we visit them we'll arrange a time for them to be baptized.

Great week!
