Baptisms, Miracles and Temple Fun!!

What's up everyone! O Dezole, m te vle di sak ap fet tout moun! 

This week was a crazy awesome week.

Noah was baptized no problems at all yesterday, which in itself was a miracle. I hear that there is always something that strangely goes wrong while you are doing a baptism. So we're super excited about that! He seemed to be really happy, I think overall it probably was just a spiritual overload! He looked a bit lost after the baptism, I'm sure he had a ton on his mind!! Haha

Melchizedek is still doing great! He passed his baptismal interview, we found a baptismal jumpsuit for him and we got his baptism program all set up! He wasn't able to come to church yesterday due to a D.O.D. fiasco, but he called us last night and apologized, said he's still on for the baptism Sunday. Pretty cool, he actually asked our ward mission leader to be the one to baptize him, so Melchizedek is really excited. And we were really excited to learn that his legal name is actually Melchizedek too, so yes. Very fun!! Keep sending the prayers our way that everything will go smoothly this Sunday! 

     We had another great experience this week, some members in the ward called us and asked us to go with them to a friends house to give her a blessing. This friend isn't LDS and just to keep confidentiality I'm not going to write her name. But this lady has been having a rough last little while, she was accused of her son having some contagious disease, she was divorced and left with her son, and the worst part is that she got jumped by some lady that lives in the apartments across the street. And get this, she had her son in her arms! He's like 14months old. This lady was just punching her and punching her, and wouldn't stop. So eventually she somehow got away, and she called for help. There were more than 5 people who witnessed it, but for some reason they wouldn't report what happened. So the lady still lives in the apartment across from her and she is afraid to leave the apartment now. So sad. And so her friends, the members, offered a blessing. So we gave her a blessing, and she said that that is the calmest she's felt in a really long time. She is now investigating the church, and we gave her a Book of Mormon. We have a return appointment tomorrow and she said she plans on coming to church on Sunday! Really really awesome. The gospel will help her so much.

Saturday we were able to help with a program that our stake is doing called "Trek to the Temple" and basically, they had everyone in the ward find a family name, go to the temple in the morning and do the work for them. And so, we as missionaries were given groups of kids to hang out with while there parents were in the temple. It was super funny and we had a great time, they had all sorts of activities and games set up for the kids and they just loved it.

And then from the temple, the YM/YW started their trek and we actually helped in getting 2 less active Haitian kids onto the trek. They finish tomorrow, so we're praying that they had a good time. They actually did sacrament meeting and church out in the woods yesterday! How cool is that? 

I think that's about it, everything is going really well here.
